Welcoming Our New Program Coordinator!

Joining us in Welcoming Meghan Blackwood!

The Luther Hodges Scholars program is pleased to welcome Meghan Blackwood as our new program coordinator. Meghan impressed the hiring team with her wide range and depth of artistic, teaching and administrative skills and experience. She also has an infectious smile and a warm and supportive way with students and colleagues.

Meghan is excited to begin her work in higher ed that involves planning and coordinating the scholar program’s signature events, overseeing our digital media communications and online presence, and providing administrative support.

Prior to joining the institute, Meghan was a choral program director for New Hanover County Schools in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she taught music education, facilitated full-production musicals and stage performances, and enjoyed fostering an engaging choral community.

Meghan completed her Bachelors of Music in Music Education at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, graduating summa cum laude. She is thrilled to begin this new chapter in her career at such an “esteemed institute”!
