The Luther Hodges Scholars Program invites you to its Spring Research Fair, a celebration of the intellectual curiosity and scholarly contributions of our graduating seniors. The event will feature a poster gallery walk highlighting six honors thesis projects, followed by a moderated panel discussion with student researchers.
Designed to showcase the depth and impact of student research, the Fair also encourages underclassmen to explore research as a meaningful component of their academic and scholar experience.
Refreshments will be served. The event is open to all scholars, students, faculty, and staff.


Postgrad Pointers webinar series offers career guidance, professional skill development, and community connections to program alumni.
During this virtual session, Dr. Shimul Melwani, Dean of the Undergraduate Business Program at Kenan-Flagler Business School, will share insights on navigating uncertainty and transitions in your professional career.

This event will take place at Top of the Hill, where seniors and LHS staff will share food and memories, discuss important graduation information, and highlight some scholar superlatives. Hello Sophomore Scholars!
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, March 26 for your internship safety training. This session will be facilitated by LSDS, who will be partnering with us this summer to provide risk management and safety support to you. The training will start promptly at 5pm so arrive by 4:50pm to grab a meal.
As a reminder, this training is mandatory to be eligible for your internship this summer.
This will be an interactive training and will require you to move around. Wear comfortable clothes that you can be active in. Boxed meals will be provided.

Scholars will participate in a structured conversation model to communicate and build connections. With the focus “The American Dream at Work,” scholars will take turns sharing, listening, and learning from their fellow scholars.
Dinner will be provided and dress is casual. All scholars should register on GivePulse.
We welcome our newest cohort, the Class of 2028, to the Luther Hodges Scholars Orientation weekend to kickstart their journey as scholars. New scholars will learn about the program experience, staff, curriculum and competencies, as well as get to know their new classmates!
The orientation will begin on Friday, January 9th at 3:00pm in the Kenan Center Boardroom, followed by the All-Scholar Welcome Back Dinner at 5:00pm in the Kenan Center Dining Room. Orientation will continue the next day, Saturday, January 10th, from 10:00am until 3:00pm, on the 3rd floor of the Kenan Center.
