Overview

The Luther Hodges Scholars Program recognizes the importance of networking and guidance to students’ personal and career development. As a result, the program has established Connections. This initiative provides curated one-on-one and group opportunities for students to engage with professionals in the private, public, and academic sectors. Connections enables students and professionals the opportunity to grow and support one another in a community with a shared vision of utilizing business and an entrepreneurial mindset to improve society.  

Goals & Learning Objectives

• Scholars will improve their professional communication skills.
• Scholars will develop diverse and dynamic professional networks.
• Professionals will share skills, experiences, insights and opportunities with the future workforce. 
• Professionals will enhance leadership and mentoring through networking, training sessions, and educational opportunities.

Program Initiatives

• Curate networking sessions that connect groups of working professionals with current scholars
• Offer professional skill-building clinics
• Host small group discussions for select scholars with business and community leaders
• Facilitate one-on-one introductions that connect scholars’ interests with professionals’ skills and experiences
