Overview
The Luther Hodges Scholars Program recognizes the importance of networking and guidance to students’ personal and career development. As a result, the program has established Connections. This initiative provides curated one-on-one and group opportunities for students to engage with professionals in the private, public, and academic sectors. Connections enables students and professionals the opportunity to grow and support one another in a community with a shared vision of utilizing business and an entrepreneurial mindset to improve society.

Program Initiatives
- Curate networking sessions that connect groups of working professionals with current scholars
- Offer professional skill-building clinics
- Host small group discussions for select scholars with business and community leaders
- Facilitate one-on-one introductions that connect scholars’ interests with professionals’ skills and experiences
Luther Hodges Scholars
Each year, up to 25 sophomores are selected to become Luther Hodges Scholars. Students are selected for their superior scholarship and genuine interest in research and in working with private and public sector professionals to address the timeliest, most pressing issues facing business and society today and in the future. Scholars are introduced to the critical role that business and the private sector play in providing solutions to these challenges. Students learn the interdisciplinary competencies of leadership, research, and cross-sector collaboration essential for success as high-impact leaders.
