Luther Hodges Scholars Announces Advisory Council

The Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise was proud to host the inaugural meeting of the Luther H. Hodges Scholars Advisory Council on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the conclusion of the institute’s annual Frontiers Conference. The 10-member Council was formed from a recommendation from the program’s 5-year External Review completed in spring 2022. The Review team was chaired by Charles ‘Chuck’ Lovelace, retired Executive Director of the Morehead-Cain Foundation and was composed of accomplished scholarship program professionals from across the country. We’re proud to announce that Lovelace has agreed to serve as the inaugural chair of the Luther Hodges Advisory Council.

The newly minted Advisory Council serves as a key advocate for the Luther Hodges Scholars Program. Council members share their gifts and talents in service to the program’s mission—to develop future business leaders committed to changing the world for the better. Members are drawn from an accomplished pool of Kenan-Flagler alumni and faculty, business and community professionals, and scholar program alumni and are representative of the program’s cross-sector focus. The Advisory Council meets biannually to review program progress, make recommendations, help problem-solve, and advise on programming and fundraising efforts. Members serve two-year renewable terms.
