Welcome, Undergraduate Kenan Scholars Class of 2023!

Twenty-five sophomore students from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School have been selected as members of the fifth class of undergraduate Kenan Scholars, the largest class ever. This five-semester program, sponsored by the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, brings together UNC business majors and minors that exhibit leadership and a passion for serving on campus and in the community.

Each year, 10-25 recently admitted undergraduate Kenan-Flagler Business School students are selected to participate in the program. The program serves students committed to learning and working at the intersection of academia, private industry and the public sector.

Kenan Scholars gain hands-on experience in the public and private sectors through field trips, mentor panels and summer internships. Scholars have access to community-building and exploratory funds, as well as conferences, workshops and skill-building trainings that enhance their professional development and enrich the Kenan Scholars community. Additionally, scholars complete a business research project during their senior year with the support of faculty advisors, mentors and Kenan Institute staff.

After completing the program, scholars pursue careers in the private industry, government or nonprofits, create startups, or pursue graduate studies in business.
