Each year, 10-25 recently admitted undergraduate Kenan-Flagler Business School students are selected to participate in the program. The program serves students committed to learning and working at the intersection of academia, private industry and the public sector.
Kenan Scholars gain hands-on experience in the public and private sectors through field trips, mentor panels and summer internships. Scholars have access to community-building and exploratory funds, as well as conferences, workshops and skill-building trainings that enhance their professional development and enrich the Kenan Scholars community. Additionally, scholars complete a business research project during their senior year with the support of faculty advisors, mentors and Kenan Institute staff.
After completing the program, scholars pursue careers in the private industry, government or nonprofits, create startups, or pursue graduate studies in business.
