Aimee Yan ’24 is from Denver, Colorado. As a Public Policy major and Business Administration minor, her professional interests include consulting, corporate social responsibility, impact investing and international development. Aimee decided to become a Kenan Scholar because she is passionate about leveraging the power of the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to create meaningful social impact.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Aimee is a Chancellor’s Carolina Scholar, Coca Cola Scholar and Honors Carolina Scholar. She is involved in the Duke-UNC China Leadership Summit, a member of the North Carolina Fellows Leadership Program, writes for the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Represent Series, serves as a Board Member for YouthRoots and co-founded Visibility Forward. Aimee’s hobbies include hiking, traveling, cooking and reading.
