Christie Chen ’26 is from Edison, New Jersey. As a Business Administration and Sports Administration double major with a minor in Data Science, Christie’s career interests include entrepreneurship and financial management of sports teams. Christie decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar to learn to utilize cross sector experience to work towards providing accessibility to sports and research opportunities for private equity investments influencing the financial operations of sports organizations, especially at the community level.

In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Christie is a 2023 Women in Sports Tech Fellow, Vice President of Marketing in Sigma Eta Pi, an Undergraduate Research Assistant  of UNC EXSS department and a member of the  Carolina Sports Business Club. Her hobbies include weightlifting, skiing, thrifting, cooking, photography, and creating Spotify playlists.
