Emily Jenkins ’25 is from Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Economics and Interdisciplinary studies double major and Business Administration minor, Lexi’s professional interests include food policy, international economics and innovation, with a long-term goal in working for a food policy organization. Emily decided to become a Kenan Scholar for the breadth of translational research opportunities offered by the program and the collaborative environment between mentors, faculty, and peers.
In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Emily is also a Morehead-Cain Scholar, an Honors Carolina Scholar, a member of the Community Empowerment Fund and serves as the Chief Strategist for UNCUT Chapel Hill. Emily’s hobbies include international economics, food policy and innovation, and conflict resolution through sports.
