Hunter Vaughan ’24 is from Bermuda Run, North Carolina. As a Business Administration and Public Policy double major, his professional interests include consulting, entrepreneurship, venture capital, and policy research. Hunter decided to become a Kenan Scholar as it aligned with his interest in learning how the private sector can work to address issues facing society.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Hunter is a Morehead-Cain Scholar, Honors Carolina member and the Director of Campus Life & Student Experiences for UNC Student Government Executive Branch. He is actively involved with Because Baseball, a Cairo-based non-profit, South Durham Little League as a volunteer coach, and YMCA Youth & Government as a staff volunteer. Hunter’s hobbies include sports, hiking, movies, and chess.
