Jules Oringel ’24 is from Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Business Administration major with minors in Public Policy and Conflict Management, her professional interests include corporate sustainability, purpose marketing, social entrepreneurship, and non-profit management. Jules decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because she recognizes the need for meaningful collaboration between sectors in order to solve today’s social, economic and environmental problems.
In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Jules is an Honors Carolina student, Buckley Public Service Scholar, Will Froelich Honors Fellow and was selected for Girls Life Magazine’s “5 Girls Who Are Changing the World” and Youth Service Americas “Everyday Young Hero.” She is involved in sustainability efforts on campus through the Ackerman Center for Excellence in Sustainability and serves as a UNC Admissions Ambassador. Jules’ hobbies include watching collegiate sports, international travel, politics, playing acoustic guitar, and fitness.
