Loren (McCauley) Palmer ’22 is from Denver, North Carolina. As a business administration and computer science double major, her professional interests include entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence in business and social innovation in developing countries. McCauley decided to join the Kenan Scholars program because it provides the opportunities, skills, and guidance to ask the right questions and find the right answers to foster economic progress and improve the lives of people everywhere through its emphasis on providing different perspectives on business from the intersection of the private and public sectors.
In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, McCauley is also a Kenan-Flagler Assured Admit, a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and a recipient of the Helen-Wardlaw Scholarship, the James McLean Scholarship and the Medlin Scholarship for Business. McCauley’s hobbies include photography, reading, traveling and finding trendy coffee shops. After college, McCauley intends to work with startups in the technology industry, with the goal of launching ventures that serve the public good.
