Max Morant ’23 is a business administration major from Durham, North Carolina. His professional interests include finance and economic development, with the ultimate goal of leveraging his experiences to support financial literacy and economic progress for Black communities. Max decided to become a Kenan Scholar to pursue his research interests within a supportive and empathetic community.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Max serves as a resident advisor in Taylor Hall, writes for Black Ink Magazine and was selected as “Mr. Freshman” for the Black Student Movement at UNC. His hobbies include yoga, anime and manga.
