Samhita Gattupalli ’26, is from Houston, Texas. As a Business Administration and Information Science double major, her career interests include the intersection of sustainability, finance, and social entrepreneurship, hoping to increase the number of women in leadership roles. Samhita chose to become a Luther Hodges Scholar, because growing up as a “third-culture kid”, her diverse background instilled a unique perspective and passion for cross-sector collaboration. She plans to utilize her interests in entrepreneurship and finance and aspires to merge these fields with sustainability and ESG investing in order to create innovative solutions to address environmental problems from the local to national scale.
In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Samhita is a Girls Who Invest Scholar, FortéCampus Ambassador, Head of Research for UNC Impact Investing Fund, serves on the Jewels of Hope Operations Committee in Carolina Women in Business, and is an associate for Scholars of Finance and UNC Finance Society. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, tennis, and clean beauty and fashion.
