Future Business Leaders Committed to Changing the World for the Better

Suzanne Zweben

Background

After graduating the University of Michigan and the London School of Economics, I returned home to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career in international economic policy. I first worked for the William Davidson Institute, an institute headquartered at the Ross School of Business that specializes in emerging markets. I then served as a Legislative Aide in Senator Paul Sarbanes’ office, where I focused on economic policy. Before beginning Kenan-Flagler’s MBA program, I completed a six-month fellowship with the U.S. – China Commission.

Career Path

I would like to make the transition to brand management and focus on international marketing in the future. I hope to work for a company that delivers financial and social value in emerging economies by concentrating on the poor as a profitable market. My concentrations are marketing and sustainable enterprise.

Interests and Hobbies

I worked with several non-profit organizations that provide tutoring and mentoring services for kids in the D.C. area. Since moving to Chapel Hill, I have enjoyed volunteering with other KFBS students for Habitat for Humanity. I also enjoy traveling, theater and rafting.
