Maruthi Vemula ’28 is from Huntersville, NC. In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Maruthi is an Accelerated Research Scholar, an analyst for Carolina Investment Group, a dancer with UNC Bhangra Elite, and the Director of Time2Care, a nonprofit providing tutoring to underprivileged children in India. Maruthi’s hobbies include playing pickleball and golf, collecting watches, and watching films.

Tanisha Thulasidas ’28 is from Cary, NC. As a Business Administration and Public Policy double major, Tanisha’s professional interests include investment banking, public finance, and infrastructure development. Tanisha decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because the program’s focus on developing leaders who think broadly and consider the impact of their decisions resonated with her. In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Tanisha is the vice president of finance for Kappa Delta Sorority, serves on the Kenan-Flagler Undergraduate Business Symposium Core Committee, is the vice president of professional development for Ascend Consulting Group, and is a member of Carolina Women in Business. Tanisha’s hobbies include baking, traveling, and practicing yoga.

Linsey Shen ’28 is from Woodbury, NY. As a Business Administration and Pre-Health Policy and Management double major with a minor in Data Science, Linsey’s professional interests include healthcare consulting, social impact, and cross-sector collaboration. Linsey decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because the program’s interdisciplinary approach aligns with her goal of using business tools to improve health outcomes, equality, and access. She values the program’s emphasis on leadership development, research, and immersive experiences that foster meaningful change.

In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Linsey is the CEO and cofounder of STEM to Flower, a patient access Representative at the UNC Vaccine Clinic, a certified application counselor for SHAC Get Covered Carolina, and a consultant for Chapel Hill Strategic Partners. She also serves on the Education Committee for CulinaryMed, mentors in the Honors First-Year Mentorship Program, and is involved with the IPEP Distinguished Scholars Program, Sigma Eta Pi, Alpha Chi Omega, Women in Consulting, and the Undergraduate Consulting Club. Linsey’s hobbies include oil painting, watching true crime shows, playing tennis, weightlifting, exploring New York City, and learning how to cook.

Ellie Reynolds ’28 is from Winston-Salem, NC. As a Business Administration and Public Policy double major with a minor in History, Ellie’s professional interests include economic and community development, nonprofit consulting, and public policy. Ellie decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because the program aligns with her vision of cross-sector, community-centered leadership to solve important problems. Ellie values the program’s emphasis on leadership development, innovation, and connecting students with opportunities that create lasting value for communities.

In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Ellie is the treasurer for JaxTHRIVE@UNC, vice president of communications for Delta Sigma Pi (Alpha Lambda Chapter), and a member of the Nonprofit and Public Sector Club, Carolina Women in Business, Undergraduate Consulting Club, The Order of the Bell Tower, and the UNC Ski and Snowboard Team. She also works as a business development intern at Fountainworks. Ellie’s hobbies include cooking new dishes, hot yoga, solo traveling, hiking, and learning to play the guitar.

Anagha Puranik ’28 is from Cary, NC. As a Business Administration and Media and Journalism double major, Anagha’s professional interests include media management, marketing, and accessibility in digital media. Anagha decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because she believes in the power of using business and strategy to make a positive impact and give back to the community. In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Anagha is involved with the Parr Center for Ethics, serves as a Hussman School Ambassador, is a member of Pi Sigma Epsilon, works in the Department of Civic Engagement for UNC Student Government, contributes to Heelprint Communications, is a Recruiting Intern for UNC Football, and works as a communications and marketing assistant for the UNC Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice. Connor Markwell ’28 is from Chapel Hill, NC. As a Business Administration and Economics double major with a minor in Data Science, Connor’s professional interests include consulting, social impact, and economic development. Connor decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because the program offers structure and direction to his long-standing commitment to social impact. The focus on cross-sector leadership and experiential opportunities aligns with his goal of leveraging private sector work for public good, as Connor aims to join the Peace Corps after graduating.

Natalie Madrzykowski ’28 is from Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Health Policy and Management major (applying to Gillings) with a minor in Business Administration, Natalie’s professional interests include health administration, community health, and the nonprofit sector. Natalie decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because the program’s interdisciplinary, service-centered mission aligns with her passion for leveraging business to improve public health. Lisa Konopeshko ’28 is from Moscow, Russia. As a Business Administration and Economics double major, Lisa’s professional interests include financial consulting, sustainability, and social impact. Aryan Khanna ’28 is from Charlotte, NC. As a Business Administration and Mathematics double major with a minor in Public Policy, Aryan’s professional interests include consulting, finance, research, data analytics, and economic policy. Aryan decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar to learn from businesses and leaders in both the public and private sectors on how to collaborate and solve society’s largest issues. Briya Kenchen ’28 is from Durham, NC. As a Business Administration and Public Policy major, Briya’s professional interests include business law, private equity, and strategies that balance profitability, legal compliance, and social impact. Briya decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because the program aligns with her commitment to address societal problems through curiosity, research, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. Briya’s hobbies include staying active, traveling, trying new foods, going to church, and spending time with family and friends.
