Matthew Abel ’26 is from Columbus, Ohio. As a Business Administration major, his professional interests include risk management solutions, ESG investment and supply chain efficiency. Matthew decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar to develop as a thought leader, working to ensure that markets are used as tools for advancing the global good rather than inequitable personal gain.
In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Matt serves as Communications chair for UNC Best Buddies, Distribution Volunteer for Mid-Ohio Food Collective, Operations Volunteer for Kiwanis International and is involved with Moneythink, a nonprofit and public sector club. His hobbies include intramural soccer and tennis, baking, boardgames, and running.
