Dabney Hughes ’28 is from Charlotte, NC. As a Business Administration and Psychology double major, Dabney’s professional interests include global NGO strategy, food systems, and supply chain operations. Dabney decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because the program aligns with his passion for using business as a force for good. Inspired by early experiences in entrepreneurship and philanthropy, Dabney values the program’s emphasis on leadership development and collaboration across sectors to create meaningful impact.
In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Dabney is the President of Stomp Out Hunger, philanthropy director at Sigma Chi Fraternity, and chief financial officer at International Consulting UNC. His honors include being a Helen Craig Wardlaw Assured Admit Scholar, Honors Carolina, and participating in the Burch Thailand Summer Research Seminar on Public Health and Entrepreneurship. Dabney’s hobbies include music production, skateboarding, weightlifting, public speaking, and philanthropic fundraising.
