Pranav Uppalapati ’27 is from Cary, North Carolina. As a Business Administration and English & Comparative Literature double major, Pranav’s professional interests include media marketing, film production, and mass media. Pranav decided to become a Luther Hodges Scholar because of the education and opportunities that the program provides to scholars on how the business world can be utilized to affect positive societal change across industries.

In addition to being a Luther Hodges Scholar, Pranav is also an Honors Carolina Scholar, an Accelerated Research Scholar, works at The Daily Tar Heel, serves as co-leader for the Sharif Durhams Leadership Program and is a filmmaker with the Carolina Film Association. Pranav’s hobbies include watching films, reading, writing, and filmmaking.
